绘本通过这样一个小故事，既让孩子们掌握了算术，又学习了分享的美德。作者Pat Hutchins的绘画极其细致，他运用了很多的细节处理来展示出同一个场景下的不同变化，家长和孩子可以仔细观察一下噢。

 

 

本书重点：认识数字1-12的算术，生词，plenty [ˈplenti] n.大量，充足，stare at [steə(r) æt] 盯着看，enormous [ɪˈnɔːməs] adj.巨大的; 庞大的，tray [treɪ] n.托盘。重点句型：I've made some cookies for tea.我做了一些饼干当茶点。They look as good as Grandma's.它们看起来和奶奶做的一样好。No one makes cookies like Grandma's.没有人做的饼干能比得上奶奶的。You can share the cookies.你们可以分享这些饼干。

 

亲子阅读指导，精读绘本，精读的常规方法是指图+肢体语言。封面图描述的是在一个房子里，有一个正在打扫的妈妈，和一大群孩子。家长用手指指着房子的背景绕一圈，告诉宝贝：In the house；指着图画的妈妈，a mother；指着一大群孩子：a lot of children。他们在做什么呢？让宝贝翻开书本瞧一瞧。

 

扉页虽然没有文字，妈妈也可以指图描绘一下：Mom made some cookies.指着图中的妈妈，模仿妈妈的声音说，“I‘ve made some cookies（指图中饼干） for tea,” said Ma.指指两个孩子，用开心的孩子声调说，“Good,” said Victoria and Sam. “We're starving”（摸摸肚子）。

 

 

切换回妈妈的声音，“Share them between yourselves,” said Ma.（可以翻译一下：你们俩分享这些饼干吧）“I made plenty.”（用手比划一下表示很多），先看左图：“That's six each” said Sam and Victoria. （比划数字六，然后从1数到6，可以考考孩子一共有多少块饼干），“They look as good as Grandma's,” said Victoria.（指着小女孩说），“They smell as good as Grandma's,” said Sam.（指着小男孩说），再看右图，指着妈妈说，“No one makes cookies like Grandma,” said Ma as the doorbell rang. （模拟发出“叮咚”的门铃声）......

No one makes cookies like Grandma," said Ma as the doorbell rang. 

“没人做饼干能比得上奶奶，”妈妈正说着，门铃响起来了。

It was Peter and his little brother.

这次是Peter和他弟弟。

“Come in,” said Ma.

“请进，”妈妈说。

"You can share the cookies."

“ 你们一起吃饼干吧”。

"That's two each," said Victoria and Sam.

“每人两块，” Victoria和Sam说。

"They look as good as your Grandma's,"  said Peter." And smell as good."

“它们看起来跟你奶奶做的一样好吃，” Peter说，“闻起来也一样棒。”

"Nobody makes cookies like Grandma,"said Ma as the doorbell rang.

“没人做饼干能比得上奶奶，” 妈妈正说着，门铃响了起来。

It was Joy and Simon with their four cousins.

这次是Joy和Simon跟他四个兄弟姐妹。

"Come in," said Ma. "You can share the cookies."

“请进”, 妈妈说。“ 你们一起吃饼干吧”。

"That's one each," said Sam and Victoria.

"They smell as good as your Grandma's," said Joy.

门铃又响了。

"Oh dear," said Ma as the children stared at the cookies on their plates.

“天呐，”妈妈说，孩子们呆呆的望着盘子里的饼干。

"Perhaps you'd better eat them before we open the door."

“你们要不要在我开门之前先把饼干吃掉”。

"We'll wait," said Sam.

“还是等一下吧”，Sam说。

It was Grandma with an enormous tray of cookies.

这次是奶奶，她拿了超大一盘饼干。

 

 

"How nice to have so many friends to share them with," said Grandma.

“这么多朋友来一起分享真是太好了,”奶奶说。

"It's a good thing I made a lot!"

“幸亏我做了很多！”

"And no one makes cookies like Grandma," said Ma as the doorbell rang.
