Usborne在全世界以出版早期读物（Young Reading）而闻名，尤其以 “趣味学习” 类书见长，针对各个年龄段的都有不少出色作品，比如这几年童书届红遍全球的几个童书系列 Look Inside、See Inside、Lift-the-Flap Questions & Answers，还有要团的这个《图书馆
My Reading Library这套书由大家所熟知的英国著名专业童书出版社Usborne Publishing出品，内容包罗万象，程度由易至难，遁序渐进。本系列全是由英国著名的儿童少年阅读教育专家Alison Kelly女士监制并起草大纲而出品的。

1. Usborne Children's Books，是全英国最大，最领先的少儿出版社
Usborne出版社旗下出版各式各样琳琅满目的童书，以创意，创新闻名业界。Usborne出版的书，精美，趁手，读起来文字精炼，不落俗套。
2. Usborne Very First Reading 系列这个套装包括 50 本由 Usborne Reading Programme 编撰的有趣儿童故事图书，以synthetic phonics (综合自然发音教学法)为设计原则, 巧妙地结合字母与发音，创造出充满想像力的押韵的文字故事。适合初次阅读、年龄介乎 2-8 岁的小朋友。由传统寓言、神话、童谣等经典故事一一收纳。

而整套书，便是先由单字组成的简单的句子开始,然后在语法,句子长度,单词量，内容以及知识面上逐步加深。
5.值得说的是，这也是一套真正将“亲子共读”这一因素考虑并且设计到内容上的书。家长与孩子轮流念，家长念左边的部分，孩子念右边的部分。依照书籍的篇幅长短开始阅读，循序渐进，随着阅读书目的增加，孩子要念的部分字句也会慢慢加长。此时家长要注意，一本书到下一本书之间，给孩子足够的时间吸收与进步，反覆看同一本书不但可以增加孩子的自信心，也可以加强流畅度。
