牛津阅读树的phonics(自然拼读)系列,我们已经读了一段时间,今天来把这类书籍的特点小总结一下。这个系列的读物不是自然拼读教材,而是拼读读物,英文叫phonics reader。这类读物将相同韵脚相同的单词整合到一个小故事里,结合常见词sight words,让孩子们从故事里感受到单词发音的规律。
这类书籍不像自然拼读教材有严格的强烈的系统性,所以我觉得适合阅读的年龄也比较广。无论是还没学自然拼的孩子,还是已经学习自然拼的孩子都可以阅读。单说牛津树1-3级的phonics系列,我建议在1-3级的story系列都读完之后再从第1级的phonics开始读。如果孩子还没学过自然拼规律,就当作扩充词汇量,将书里单列的单词给孩子强化一下。如果孩子正在学习自然拼规律,就用读物配合拼读教材辅助使用。孩子利用了拼读学习读物学习发音之后,需要找相应的拼读读物,在故事情境中练习。
阅读步骤
Step 1:带领孩子配合书本图片先听一遍纯朗读音频,让孩子通过图片大概了解故事概要;
Step 2:回过头来看第一页,让孩子知道这本书的“I SPY”游戏是在书中找什么,以及应该掌握的sight words有哪些;
Step 3:配合老师的讲解再读一次,鼓励孩子跟读;如果孩子跟读了,家长及时给予鼓励。如果孩子没有跟读,也不要逼迫孩子。
Step 4:再听纯朗读版一遍,可以一句话暂停一下,让孩子跟读。最后玩一下“I SPY”游戏,找出每张图中藏着的"老鼠"。
Step 5:和孩子一起回答课后问题,无论是中文还是英文都可以,尽量引导孩子用会的英文单词简单回答。答案也是开放式的,主要目的是和孩子一起讨论,加深对故事情节的理解。
The Backpack
Chip was in a toy shop.
"Wow! Lots of toys."
He put his backpack by the ducks.
A boy put his backpack by the duck.
"I'll put it by this box."
"Look at this rocket," said Chip.
"Shall I get it?"
"My cash is in my backpack," he said.
"In the zip pocket."
Mum got a backpack.
But it was not Chip's backpack.
The boy had Chip's backpack.
"Pick it up, Nick."
Chip had the boy's backpack.
"This is not my backpack!"
Chip was upset.
"That boy has my cash."
"Let's get it back," said Mum.
Mum and Chip ran ...

... to that shop ...
The boy got on a bus.
"Stop that bus," said Mum.
"Stop!"
The bus did stop.
"What luck!"
Chip got his backpack back.
"I can get that rocket."
