3 C2 m0 q) z3 a3 }+ | W* m! H$ u在开始读故事之前，可以让孩子根据书的封面和故事的名称想象一下这会是一个怎样的故事，故事中会发生什么。亲子共读过程中可以考虑以下活动：
) d* }- k' X z4 u- r6 o1.和孩子一起读标题和看封面。问：你认为这个故事是关于什么的？ / `/ |! l4 W3 ^2 h+ Z8 F$ i
2. 彩虹有几种颜色呢？你能说出来都是哪些颜色吗？

It was raining, but the sun was shining at the same time. The children looked up and saw a rainbow across the sky. “ I wonder where the rainbow begins?" asked Wilf,"and where it ends?"

- \: K, g8 `- W3 V! c7 mIn a place far away, there was a lorry. It was a very big lorry because on the back was a verybig machine. The machine made rainbows and was called The Rainbow Machine.
% t9 P4 N+ D Q& R There are seven colours in the rainbow. It took seven people to look after the rainbow machine. They cleaned it and polished it and they made sure it worked properly.

在一个很远的地方，有一辆卡车。 那是一辆非常大的卡车，因为在后面是一台非常大的机器。 这台机器可以制造彩虹，被称为彩虹机器。

Off they went in the lorry. While it was going along, the rainbow makers got the machine ready. Then, one... two.. .three... Go! They pressed a button and the rainbow shot out of the machine. ( B7 i, m G6 d U+ g
彩虹机器需要随时准备就绪。 有时候好几个星期过去，都不需要彩虹。 但是当电话响起的时候，彩虹制造制造者们不得不飞速工作。

When there was a rainbow, everyone stopped to look at it. Children ran to their mums or dads and said," What a beautiful rainbow!" * D8 D p7 J8 z" I4 D3 U
Sometimes the rainbow was very bright butsometimes it was quite pale. Often the childrenran towards it. They wanted to find the end of it,and play in all the colours. But, of course, they never could.

One of the rainbow makers was a young man called Fred. He was new and he was learning to be a rainbow maker. One day, the other rainbow makers said, "Look after the lorry, Fred. We won’t be long." 1 O; _; F0 A; T9 }( B/ v/ A5 L6 V
The lorry was on a double yellow line. Fred saw a traffic warden. 'Oh no! 'said Fred. "I must move the rainbow machine." So he climbed into the driver's cab and drove away. 0 l. P+ y0 Q1 s+ Z# G: \) V
彩虹制造者中有一个叫Fred的年轻人。 他是新来的，他正在学习做一个彩虹制造者。 有一天，其他彩虹制造者说，“看好卡车，Fred。我们不会耽搁很久的。” . Q9 E9 |, f8 h0 c6 i! z
