- D8 U/ Q& n$ f- h  bBig Bear took Little Bear home to the Bear Cave.
* E" r' G+ H7 V4 W; Z* V8 C1 y森林里住着两只熊,大熊叫大大熊,小熊叫小小熊。

/ I* M. Y3 p4 ?"Why are you scared, Little Bear?" asked Big Bear.

“ What dark?” said Big bear.( S( R7 w* X, g! I0 N) h0 Z
“ The dark all around us ,"said Little bear.; I' h# L6 g/ t( A$ n  B/ S) l
“你睡不着吗,小小熊?”
( C5 ^# f  X0 Y  M4 E大大熊放下它那本看得正有趣的书,走到了小小熊的床边。

“你害怕什么,小小熊?”大大熊问。7 T5 H: l0 |2 Y( O# C
“我不喜欢这么黑。”小小熊说。

Big bear looked, and he saw that the dark part
/ s0 [$ z& {; Hof the cave was very dark, 0 m: J5 c7 u; V
so he went to the Lantern Cupboard 5 p( T8 z1 O% E
and took out the tiniest lantern that was there.- W& J5 `. i& V+ F; n. B
Big Bear lit the tiniest lantern, / C3 T4 S, A8 s% m/ ?0 D
and put it near to Little bears bed.
" b% P% ]$ c6 E* C"There's a tiny light to stop you being scared,1 j% G( D$ x6 {9 T; R7 V
Little Bear, "said Big Bear.
5 k7 x7 `3 w1 f) t"Thank you, Big Bear, "said Little Bear,
; _8 ?2 R1 c6 `8 p$ g+ mcuddling up in the glow.
' F8 U* K/ |- z5 O" o, V"Now go to sleep, Little Bear, "said Big Bear,
' e5 @+ G! |8 B" f9 I, g& J/ @and he padded back to the bear Chair and settled* G$ M! M, r  {; B
down to read the Bear Book, by the light of the fire. * p6 a' n% F- {, g( m
大大熊看了看周围,觉得小小熊说得有道理。
3 p' N. b7 V+ U2 Z2 _- o- s于是它拿来了一个小小的灯,很小,放在小小熊的床边。

"Im scared, "said Little Bear.

"I dont like the dark, " said Little Bear.0 @- b  H+ S; t- b
"What dark?" said Big Bear
- ?: t- V5 t* e* A5 ?$ O  y"The dark all around us, "said Little bear* U! e+ x* @# y8 a7 [
"But I brought you a lantern! "said Big Bear
7 B" d* u. s6 _, k"Only a tiny-weeny one, " said Little Bear. "
# ?# I( u/ Q9 J/ s& v  O. qAnd there's lots of dark!”' I0 f; q7 t, C- ]; V
Big Bear looked, and he saw that Little Bear was quite& ]4 g' o/ u7 a. ~
right, there was still lots of dark. 3 n, B& z# V& ~- G# s' j0 f
So Big Bear went to the Lantern Cupboard ( j' r4 w2 c: p: F5 k7 x$ y+ W
and took out a bigger lantern.
# h1 O% M0 G+ C) nBig bear lit the lantern, and put it beside the other one.
- j8 r9 W% f5 T; y( c# y, m$ A8 |% x' e8 C
小小熊躺了一会儿,可它还是睡不着。/ ]* d- [% x: J
“你睡不着吗,小小熊?”大大熊说。
- u! @. ~, U: \) Q它放下书,来到了小小熊的床边。4 y8 y6 W% q; j& [
“我害怕。”小小熊说。) z! n/ j' z$ C/ X3 a% z
“你害怕什么,小小熊?”大大熊问。

"I'm scared," said Little bear.

"What dark?"asked Big Bear.
4 c, U. q$ j- e4 }9 B7 T"The dark all around us, "said Little Bear.

"Not much bigger, "said Little Bear. / q- z2 W- ?# z0 q% B# B
"And there's still lots of dark.

小小熊想着睡着,可是睡不着。

“你害怕什么,小小熊?”大大熊问。

“什么黑?”大大熊问。

and then he went to the Lantern Cupboard - N; q. b( q  @7 o$ ]0 P
and took out the Biggest Lantern of Them All, . B( S5 }6 A4 N7 q# ?8 c' U
with two handles and a bit of chain.
' z5 c# k8 F2 HHe hooked the lantern up above Little Bears bed.6 C# o. p. e. H2 ~/ X. i
"I've brought you the Biggest Lantern of Them all! " 9 C" Y+ b0 K5 R# e. E& U
he told Little bear. * j. ^9 q1 H, ?! X8 I# ?, K
"That's to stop you being scared!"
0 b  Y% e3 G; i2 h) }" M# u; D“Thank you, Big Bear,” said Little Bear,
# J& z/ a! l/ f$ |. r$ [( ecurling up in the glow and watching
) G1 k; J" s! dthe shadows dance.
+ P% r3 Q; [! n5 t, U; |  }9 o“Now go to sleep, Little Bear, ”said Big Bear. F) g0 m. H; ?! i7 X! @6 q$ X
and he padded back to the Bear Chair and
3 w! j0 r4 d* s( z% j* }settled down to read the Bear Book,
* @1 A7 H' X0 Sby the light of the fire.
- N8 B6 ]# S: E7 Q+ a7 v. Z3 [( v, t' }2 p2 Y! P6 k9 H$ x7 w
大大熊想了想,然后他又拿了一个最大的灯。
* W, h3 ]/ ^2 v: O( [: V“我给你拿了最大的灯了,这下不用害怕了。”( l4 T! W7 `. z* m, m" _9 X) x9 N
“谢谢你,大大熊。”小小熊开心地看着影子跳舞。

but he could't.

"Out into the darkness?" said Little bear.

"No need to be! "said Big Bear, and he took

”我们要去哪里?“小小熊说。

“啊,我害怕,”小小熊说。

fast asleep, and he settled down with Little Bear( D7 X4 i: j/ k/ P% y' b$ R6 L
on one arm and the Bear Book on the other, cosy% @* R3 V+ n9 G  t- M
in the Bear Chair by the fire." o) j& p" `8 |. @7 N
小小熊没有吭声,他在大大熊温暖而安全的怀抱中睡着了。" Z4 w- h. J* [3 }3 [5 o
大大熊抱着小小熊回到洞穴,
