and padding over to the bed.

"Why are you scared, Little Bear?" asked Big Bear.

“ What dark?” said Big bear.9 c3 H* k- l0 V
“ The dark all around us ,"said Little bear.

* E" R! p2 f. K: b大大熊放下它那本看得正有趣的书,走到了小小熊的床边。

“你害怕什么,小小熊?”大大熊问。. B( v( ?( Y" h  i1 i1 r% B
“我不喜欢这么黑。”小小熊说。

“周围黑黑的地方。”小小熊说。

! x% W* E6 {, W) d7 L6 Pand took out the tiniest lantern that was there.

"There's a tiny light to stop you being scared,

"Thank you, Big Bear, "said Little Bear, 3 u; f" i( H! c8 P$ r# c% J
cuddling up in the glow.

大大熊看了看周围,觉得小小熊说得有道理。

"Im scared, "said Little Bear., O7 q  U' C3 U+ _+ i
"Why are you scared, Little Bear?"asked Big Bear.
! S% f9 k+ ~$ ]( k"I dont like the dark, " said Little Bear.

"The dark all around us, "said Little bear

And there's lots of dark!”

right, there was still lots of dark. 6 k9 E  O" K9 D5 d6 ^
So Big Bear went to the Lantern Cupboard
+ [7 u$ D9 Z: K$ |and took out a bigger lantern.* H! @6 N5 ]4 o
Big bear lit the lantern, and put it beside the other one.5 R( X4 T: y; e: ]" H

小小熊躺了一会儿,可它还是睡不着。3 s1 Z2 L9 L8 Q! Z8 Q4 y8 p9 E
“你睡不着吗,小小熊?”大大熊说。

"But I brought you two lanterns! "said Big Bear.

“现在去睡觉吧,小小熊。”! I3 m# E& [* x- F& e7 o" ~
大大熊走回火堆旁,坐下去继续看书。
5 t  r/ t# g" [( Z小小熊想着睡着,可是睡不着。
0 \/ C) l0 Q1 f6 `  E# j“你睡不着吗,小小熊?”大大熊放下书。

“什么黑?”大大熊问。

Big bear thought about it, 1 d) S/ s; ]  R( s
and then he went to the Lantern Cupboard
8 ~! [. d, M" `+ t% N- @and took out the Biggest Lantern of Them All,
4 s+ s0 j+ X# q7 V- xwith two handles and a bit of chain.
7 z7 s3 ]% L$ y; C* _* Q; T( tHe hooked the lantern up above Little Bears bed.5 q! O. `: j0 z: G$ ^1 G$ a
"I've brought you the Biggest Lantern of Them all! " 9 e1 E8 d) F9 H% o* m: q
he told Little bear. . M* I' ~1 T4 H; l' ~
"That's to stop you being scared!"
) H* m  v) H; Z“Thank you, Big Bear,” said Little Bear,
0 W% y& g' x& icurling up in the glow and watching! y. m+ Y$ s# v: s) s
the shadows dance.
! @4 P  A1 k5 k/ [" w# A! I“Now go to sleep, Little Bear, ”said Big Bear
! g7 t& \  K' h8 Y# f6 Pand he padded back to the Bear Chair and8 u- G3 [* R) j  s" A
settled down to read the Bear Book,
  x; _& Y4 O3 S, ^by the light of the fire.

0 H7 D& o. x6 K2 q; F! w# O大大熊想了想,然后他又拿了一个最大的灯。

“谢谢你,大大熊。”小小熊开心地看着影子跳舞。

Little bear tried and tried and tried to go to sleep,

putting down his Bear Book4 q/ u; I  n, t9 S

小小熊滚来滚去还是睡不着。
3 T/ ?3 V* U2 |2 j+ A  P+ h”你还是睡不着吗?“大大熊放下书,朝着床的方向走去。

And he pointed out of the Bear Cave, at the night.

"Where are we going? "asked Little Bear.

"Out into the darkness?" said Little bear.

"No need to be! "said Big Bear, and he took

大大熊疑惑了,所有的灯都不能点亮外面。

cuddling up to Big Bear.

cuddled him, and said, "Look at the dark,; f  q- n) b+ t7 g

外面真黑!

But Little Bear didn't say anything, for he had gone

Big Bear carried Little Bear back into the bear Cave," ]- Y; o2 r( M- P
fast asleep, and he settled down with Little Bear6 J/ q% i: P! y& V& b/ W# P# @
on one arm and the Bear Book on the other, cosy8 n* v) n6 x) O: a
in the Bear Chair by the fire.
: W! f" p* P9 e, `1 h* u6 j9 t; `小小熊没有吭声,他在大大熊温暖而安全的怀抱中睡着了。
; U& L8 l9 R8 E大大熊抱着小小熊回到洞穴,
