如何来阅读 Tug of War 看看封面吧。
在开始读故事之前,可以让孩子根据书的封面和故事的名称想象一下这会是一个怎样的故事,故事中会发生什么。亲子共读过程中可以考虑以下活动:
1.和孩子一起读标题和看封面。问:你认为这个故事是关于什么的?
2.讨论标题,问:孩子们在和谁拔河?结果又会是怎样?
The children went to the park.
They went with Mum and Dad.
孩子们要去公园玩耍,
他们和爸爸妈妈一起去。
They went to the stream.
他们来到小溪旁。
Chip saw a rope. It was by a tree.
Chip在树边看见了一根绳子。
Dad had an idea.
"We can skip," he said.
爸爸生出一个点子。
“我们可以玩跳绳,”他说。
He tied the rope to the tree.
他把绳子的一头绑到了树上。
Dad and the children began to skip.
"Go on, jump!" said Mum.
爸爸和孩子们开始跳起绳来。
“继续啊,跳!”妈妈说道。
"Jump! Jump! Jump!"
“跳啊!跳啊!跳啊!”
They all jumped. They jumped too soon.
他们全部都跳起来了。他们都跳得太早了。
Whoops! They all fell over.
哎呀!他们都摔倒了。
Mum had an idea.
妈妈生出一个主意。
"Let's have a tug of war," she said.
“让我来玩拔河吧,”她说。
Dad threw the rope over the stream.
爸爸把绳子扔到了小溪对面。
Mum went over the bridge.
妈妈从桥上走到桥对面。
The Children began to pull.
孩子们开始拉了。
Mum and Dad began to pull.
妈妈和爸爸也开始拉了。
"Easy," said Wilf, and he let go.
“太容易啦,” Wilf说,然后他松了手。
Mum and Dad pulled and pulled.
妈妈和爸爸拉啊拉。
"Easy," said Wilma, and she let go.
“太简单啦,” Wilma说,然后她松开了手。
Mum and Dad pulled and pulled.
妈妈和爸爸拉啊拉。
"Easy," said Biff and Chip, and they let go.
“太容易啦,” Biff和Chip说,
然后他们松开了手。
"Pull, Dad!" called Wilma.
“拉啊,爸爸!” Wilma喊道。
"Easy," said Kipper. "Look at me."

He pulled Mum and Dad into the stream.
