All’s fair in the online dating game, unless your name’s Brianna, Erika, or Lexi. If that's the case, then you have an unfair advantage, according to some un-scientific findings from The Grade, a dating app that touts itself as a creep-free version of Tinder.
Women with those names received the most right swipes are: Brianna, Erika, Lexi, Brooke, Vanessa, April, Natalie, Jenna, Molly and Katie
Meanwhile, guys named Brett, Tyler, and Corey, Andy, Noah, Shane, Jeffrey, Rob, Frank and Jeff got the most love from lady swipers.
In addition to releasing the most desirable names (they were kind enough to leave off the least-swiped names—maybe to avoid fights with your mom at Thanksgiving), the app listed the names that seem to match most frequently: Molly, go find your Christopher; Rob, your Sarah’s out there waiting; Jenna, Joseph is the one.
But wait, there's more! If you’ve ever wondered whether your full name or nickname catches more eyes, they’ve rated those, too. Judging by the data, if you’re a Becky, it might be time to switch back to Rebecca—at least on your dating profile.
If you need us, we’ll be pondering ways to up the hotness factor on our birth names—not everyone gets to rhyme with sexy, Lexi.
